Steinhatchee

Post by Snook712 »

My brother in law and I got out early on Saturday at Steinhatchee. We paddled all morning and only caught one red on a topwater. I have never seen it so bare of fish.

My thought is there are a gazillion boats and airboats out for scallops and the fish have headed elsewhere from being pestered. Oh for the Fall days of few boats and tailing reds.

Scallop season is finally over and the grass chopping tourists are GONE! Yippie!

I am going up this week end to do some fishing and just general hanging out. Need to check the tides but am planning on hitting the creek Saturday morning if anyone is interested in joining me.

Sorry I cannot come. We have a big event at the Boys Ranch and I need to stay close to home. Let me know if you do any good and I might try to go down one day next week.

Stay out of my turf!
Steve/Roger, catch 'em up. I'll be making a trip or 2 back up that way soon. Reds will be tailin' in full force this fall!

Your turf?? I have a better spot. :P

I won't be back up until probably Nov 1st :( Due to a vacation and such but I will be back. I hope to get a lot of fishing done in Nov. The water will be cooler and the fish will be jumpin.

I will be unable to go all of October but plan on taking some time to fish in November. Keep in touch and maybe we can get together for some time on the water.

That's right. Stay in your spot, I like my side better! (Although, I have yet to spend much time in your spot)
Steve/Roger, looks like I won't be able to get up that way until Nov. anyhow. See you all then. 8)
