sliding float rig

I read about a sliding float rig in Florida Sportsman magazine. When I use bait it is a trick to get it into the mangroves where the fish hang out. This seems to provide a consistant weight
that should make casting accuracy easier. I have been there when 3' from the edge meant no bites and 1 foot meant fish on. All i need now is a 70 water temp and fair weather, tides etc.

I believe that is a slip cork rig which has been the standard rig for trout here forever. It works very well.
