wind tide big macs

Post by nemo327 »

Friday I went to Caladesi Island the wind was stiff but the bay was calm. The NE wind blew me to the island with hardly a stroke. Along the way I used a white paddle tail plastic with a chartreuse jig head. There were so many undersized trout it was annoying. I ALSO CAUGHT 2 GOLIATH GROUPER IN THE 8 INCH RANGE this was quite a surprise. Upon reaching the mangroves I caught 6 reds in the 18-20 inch range all were released. The tide had turned by this time and helped me back to Dunedin causeway. All told a fine day on the water. I would like to try the Tarpon outfall canal but I can,t seem to find a launch for my kayak. I am 67 so an hour of paddling to and fro is allot. Before everyone got so security obsessed the dam was a great place for snook. access was an easy scramble down to the water.

Big Macs were from Macdonalds. It was lunch. Sorry for the confusion.
