I did get out this morning with Arik81. The day started off with great potential and I was hoping ALL the wind reports were going to be wrong. Just in case, we decided to fish the heavily protected areas of Vamo.

I was only able to come up with one good size fish. But I'll take this any day:

Caught 3 nice trout - 20", 23.75", and 24.5"; all released to fight another day.

Love me some paddletail - slow retrieve, almost like bass fishing. Very subtle hits - they fought much better this week than last.

Sorry no "hero" shots.

Did make some beergaritas - threw in some fresh plant city strawberries the beergarita, with 12 hot chicken wings.

Not sure which was better - fishing, weather, wings, or drinks. All in all a spectacular weekend.

That said I have the fever for some +100# threadfins. Rumor has it they are in Ft. Myers.

Lining up some fellas to hit AMI in a couple months.

Tarpon hit red 1/8 oz jig head with DOA curly tail in Gold Crush. That's my "go to" for any situation.
