red lake

any of you folks fish red lake in venice? if so howd you do?
i'm thinking about trying there this weekend .any tips ?

I haven't in a couple of years, but from my experience I have always had luck on smaller sized snook (15-20 inches) up in the lake area. Very shallow water without a lot of grass or oysters or bottom structure at all though. The canal that runs under the bridge on the way to the park is a bit deeper and usually holds some bigger snook.

Haven't fished it in a decade. Used to be juvie tarpon in there but mostly small snook. Oh, and pls take note of my tag line.;)
