Friends of the River Boat Parade 2012

Post by vizzi »

This was the first time I participated in this event. This was their 13th annual parade. Here are some pics:

(For some reason, a few will not upload in the correct "rotated" position. Even though I rotated and saved in editing. Sorry in advance)

How did you power the lights on your kayak?

Trolling-motor battery and power converter. I ran 2 strands of lights and the animated gator on it. I was able to keep it going for about 3-1/2 hours solid before it started dying out. Most paddlers there had battery-operated lights (lights with it's own battery pack). Not sure how long those last though.
