Cedar Key Recommendations

I'll be in Cedar Key the first week in February and am planning to bring the Kayak. Looking for some ideas on where to launch from. I know it gets real shallow in certain areas especially with the negative lows in winter. If anybody is familiar with the area and can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.
