My scout down SOTE finally got off his retired ass and reported some tight lipped fish. Maybe this weekend will change things.

I think it will e a while yet before some of the areas hit hard by last year's red tide to recover. Hope the blooms are minimal this year.

I like to park at the east end of the long bridge to Anna Maria on the north side. There is a fair size little island not to far out where many people camp. The whole area is nice with grass flats, mangrove islands and shallow to deep areas. I remember seeing several yaks there during one of the recent OLC's Like many spots, it was hard hit by last summers red tide and is still on the rebound. Still pretty though.
