Just some random shots ...

These were taken with the camera about 1" off the sand ...

Ah, taking the 'unknown noticed' and making it 'noticed'. Nice. 8)

I'd be interested in seeing the difference if you re shoot both shots and create a greater 'depth of field' by shooting at a slower shutter speed and smaller aperture say 1/60 at f22. Not sure if your camera has the capability to adjust exposure settings. That should put, pretty much everything, in sharp focus.

It has manual settings, but I never look at the manual ... ;)

But, now that you've given me some "numbers" to plug in, I'll certainly give it a shot.

Thanks !

If your camera has the P (Program), A (Aperture), S (Shutter) and M (Manual) modes, the simplest way would be to use the S (Shutter) mode and set the shutter speed at 1/60 second, about the slowest shutter speed you could shoot at hand held without creating motion blur. Your camera should set you aperture at its smallest setting for a proper exposure giving you greater depth of field.
