I've been trying to get a handle on taking photographs of motorcycles. MarkM's Harley has been the subject. Here are my 3 final choices
Choice A: Nice and plain. Good DOF.
Choice B: Softened it up a bit.
Choice C: B&W. If I knew somebody with an antique bike.
Which one?

I like "B", but feel like the center should be sharper, more crisp. Leave the soft edges though. "C" doesnt work for me, to much chrome to make the black and white stand out.
Oh yeah, a hot babe in a bikini would make "A" the money shot

Where is the hot chick in leather? I thought all HD shots had to have that?
#1. But the mud and dirt don't do a lot for me. It needs to be crisper, it that makes sense.
No offense on any though, as I have seen your photography skills, but I bet with a little more work you could do better. None really jump out at me.

You know what La Quinta means in English? Behind Dennys. MarkM
It's a new area for me. I've been trying different lenses and techniques.
To cap it off, photographing things that are black have always been hard for me. For years I have been trying to get a photograph of a Gallinule. I always get black fuzz. Headshots of Oyster Catchers are fun, too.

in my opinion all pics are nice; however, I like the one Mark posted better because it 's more "interesting/artistic". The top three would be good for a HD catalog.
I also agree with Todd; judging by other pictures that you have produced in the past, I was expecting something more like this, more typical of an artist like you
