Need input part 2 - canoe/kayak launch

Post by Rik » Mon Apr 12, 2010 10:44 am

As you all are out and about, it would be greatly appreciated if you could collect some pics of the good, the bad and the ugly launches out there.

No, I am not asking for shots of your super secret, through the woods past grandma's house launch that is invisible even to Google's eye in the sky - although you are welcome to email me (rik@paddle-fishing.com) any of those you would like. Please include GPS coords and driving instructions so I don't spend the night lost in the woods. I'll be glad to get back to you with my opinion.

Looking for as many good, bad, ugly pics of known launches.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Rik,

Do you want the content in the Destinations form/style? And do you want it posted here, e-mailed to you, or both?

I'll do Matlacha Park- it's in my backyard.

Please give me a week or so- still recovering from surgery and have to wait for "all clear" on Friday from doctor before doing much more than riding a desk.

Rik, would it do any good to broaden the search to the FS forum? You might be able to get more of a "statewide" opinion( and a lot more bs too)?

In the NMBTAG, there are folks from all over the no motor boating community in Florida. In this specific subgroup looking at launches, we have people expanding the search for info all over.

That's a semi polite way of saying - it will turn into a BS fest over there.......

If this damn wind ever stops, I will be visiting several of our usual haunts and sending the pics. Is there a deadline?

Rik,

FYI, I e-mailed the Matlacha Park launch(s) photos and captions to your P-F.com addy. Please let me know if you need any other photos, etc.

Hope this helps,

Chrystal
