pretty easy to install; the one I used was the crack-n-roll method, i will have to give the heat gun method a try next time

Here is my attempt at my second build. Not nearly as nice as Noles but I'm working on it. Noles what did you use for you foregrip? I like those fuji guides very nice choice. By the way I will be going to Mud Hole on June 27 for their advanced class, If anyone would like to car pool over or I can pick up any supplies and save you the shipping charges just send me a pm.

Having just come from next door and drooled over this rod not 30 min ago, I have to say that pictures do not do it justice. Another awsome build Noles. The quality of rods you make never cease to amaze me.

Nice work.
I wish my grass looked that good. Thats a beautiful rod but how will the abalone hold up against heavy use like going into rod holders and such.
I think I can dance.

there's two coats of finish over the abalone, durability shouldn't be an issue Bill

no foregrip on it, the thread on the reel seat was trimmed for the particular reel being used on the rod. so no thread on the figure

Here is another photo with the reel on the finished rod. Took a few casts today, the Aero reel seat is very comfy, and the total package is very light in the hand. Havent weighed it yet, but guessing 10 oz total. Phinla did you weight it?
