I learned to fish with a yoyo, and that is what I use to retrieve my anchor line, they are only a coupple of bucks and dont rust (plastic)quote]

In Cuba we called them yoyos . Not sure that makes them a Cuban yoyo, but I'll take it. As far as floating well, so far I've only put my anchor in the water not the yoyo. I can tell you what didn't float, that was the tackle pouch I took first day on kayak.

I use 1/4 inch nylon in 25 ft sections with clips on the ends, I only use as many sections that i need and I just stach it in a pile behind my seat, never have any problems with is, do not roll it up in a ball or wind it
