Nice to be able to walk out your back door and go catch fish. That one looks like fun.
Being out on the water in the kayak is the prize. Catching fish is the bonus.

That is a nice tilapia. I caught my largest to date also near a spillway in a shallow lake a few weeks ago'

I have caught many blue tilapia in the past few weeks.

Unlike the ones I have caught in the spring, these fish are aggressive, hit hard and make a few good runs on ultra lite spinning gear.

I will try to catch them on flies in the next few days. I know a yellow, white or pink fly will work.

I am even going to fillet and grill a couple of the medium size fish.
