Mark M - Update

Post by John »

I was asked by Mark's wife Carla, to let you all know the latest on his condition.

Unfortunately the news is not good, he is continuing his brave and arduous fight but the cancer is not receding. Despite two surgeries and radiation treatments the prognosis is not looking good. Mark is now trying two other drugs which may help and possibly give him more time.

All we can do now is hope and pray, and send as much love and positive energy as we can for our brother in arms.

Thank you

July 31st

Mark was moved to hospice yesterday.

John....this is truly sad news. Last time I spoke with him he was very positive and seemed like he was doing so well. He will be in my prayers...

Had some good times with my homeboy from Scotch Plains. Shared a fly in trip in Ontario with him a few years back. Fantastic time.
One of the good guys for sure.

He's definitely one of the best, I know Mark on several different levels, as a friend, as a fisherman and a co-worker, he's top class on all levels. Hard to find someone who can excel on all those ways, and still be very humble about it, there are men, good men and great men, and Mark's one of the greatest I've had the honour to know.

Hoping for the best.

We will keep Mark in our prayers...I heard about some promising new cancer drugs today on the radio . Maybe Mark will benefit from them.

I had no idea John. My prayers will be with him and his family. Hopefully he'll be given another chance and can beat it.

Damn, damn, damn, damn, damn. I just hate hearing this. Love that guy. Cancer miracles do happen - I have a good friend who is testament to that. I am praying the doctors find the right cocktail for Mark. Thank you for updating us, John.

Gulp..Can't say I know Mark, but I'm happy to send a prayer his way. Let's keep our glasses half full and hope the new drug cocktail works. From the responses I have read Mark is one of the good guys. :salute: :salute: :salute:
