A few of us decided to meet Friday before Easter and do some kayak fishing. We launched near Kingfish down in Bradenton early that morning. An hour later I saw the largest Shark I ever want to see again from a kayak!!! The massive creature was about eight feet off to my left traveling in the same direction.
Honest to God, in an effort to remain calm I made a conscious effort NOT to compare him to the size of my kayak. Only after a few moments he drifted off in another direction. That is why I don't fish wadding off the kayak EVER!
Staying calm is a smart thing.

Details, man, details! Where - flats, beach, channel? How deep was the water? Tide?
Heywood and I have been targeting sharks recently. He's doing better than I. We've been finding them well out of the flats where we normally wade, although he DID claim to have seen a big bull shark in pretty skinny water a few weeks ago...
