What did you expect? After all, they were U of F grads.

What I would like to do is invite each and every one of you to come to our tournament committee meetings. We have a dedicated crew that works very hard and unfortunately no one is perfect. If we were we wouldn't even need a CCA now would we?
Anyway, if you really want to help please feel free to PM me, Thanks again for all of your responses.
My posts are my opinion only.

I'm with Rik on this one --- It seems to me to be an opportune moment to do some public education on proper fish handling, along with an apology.
Otherwise, it gives the appearance that this is what CCA supports.

Careful with the name calling. You should NEVER upset a person who is an expert with Photoshop.

While not being a big fan of CCA as a whole I believe that the individual chapters do many good things for the environment. As Steve said there would be a flyer of proper fish handling procedures in each goody bag. Was it a mistake? No doubt but it has been owned up to with a mea culpa that expresses the level of embarassment.

I couldn't find the thread about it, but didn't Hobie have an advertisement with a vertically hung redfish? So...you no longer support hobie kayaks???
If I didn't spend it on fishing, I would just spend it on a psychiatrist.

I own two Hobies. They are not a non-profit with "conservation" in their name.
