The Erick Bell Memorial

Post by Erick »

For those fishing in the Memorial, I want to let you know how much I wanted to be able to be there this year. I certainly appreciate Todd keeping the memory of the OLC alive through this event and I certainly hope to be able to be there in the future. Unfortunately, some things are beyond our control, and at this time I will be unable to attend. Best of luck to everyone fishing in the event, I am glad you have continued to support the PFTS and I look forward to the reports/photos after the weekend.

Good luck to all and enjoy using the chosen lure.

Aww you're surely going to be missed but I'm sure the tournament will go on in the spirit that you intended. You will certainly be on our minds and I'm sure we'll tip a glass or two in your honor.

You know the first OLC (gold spoon) was the VERY first tournament I ever fished and won!! Last years memorial I placed 2nd. I'm hoping to keep the streak going and at least place again in this one. I'm thinking that just MAYBE you've been good luck for me..... we'll see if it holds up this time!!!

I know, can you believe that Jeff, I dont think I will attend either!!!

....thanks for any and all prayers, they are certainly welcomed. And yes, I do believe that God will take care of it all, although it is often tough during trying times to find joy and see how things will work out for the best. And yes, I still plan to be in Jax for that event...subject to change. If I am....we do need to hit Singletons for dinner again.

The Eric Bell Memorial - my wife, Leslie thought that Erick must of died. What's with the memorial ??

Many thanks for Erick Mr. OLC for starting this tournament series. I did my first OLC tournamnet at Ft. Desoto. It was the Funky Chicken challenge. Being new to the site I thought that the funky chicken was some kind of joke that they played on new guys....Like snipe hunting. Cuz Angler-X said redfish sure do luv 'em.
It was one day before Hurricane Francis came rollin in. It was windy. I caught a 22" redfish and with my crappy Polaroid picture I got a second place.

I've always enjoy this tournamnet series - it is FUN and LOW cost. I've done a few $100.00 tournaments.....but I have more fun with the OLC / PFTS

So thanks to Erick and now the Todd, Rik, Mark M and the rest of the helpers - For keeping it going.

i'll see you there

Sorry that you can't make it Erick
