So..uh... Neil, What kind of fish is that on page 317 of the new Off Shore Angler catalog? I was able to I.D. all the rest in there.

Yeah, usually found in deeper water near the continental shelf in these parts. They be delicious.

Golden Tile are indeed yummy. I remember Dave Zalewski brought my dad a 20 lb Golden Tile for his 40th birthday. I've sometimes seen it on the Bonefish menu.

Had my first tilefish down in the dry tortogas, trading the fishing boat cheap rum for fresh fish....we both thought we really got a good deal

Tilefish is one ugly slimy fish, but excellent table fair. It use to be used as a substitute for grouper by some seafood purveyors.
