Re: Not impressed

Brett, perhaps we could have a place of honor for those who did so much for the sport and this site when kayak fishing was new to the vast majority of us. Great idea. What if created a "Mentors" section where members could describe individuals that were influential and helped get them int...

Re: Not impressed

John, several forum sections were simply moved into the "Archive": http://forum.paddle-fishing.com/viewforum.php?f=46 That included all of Jay's memorial threads, including the main one: http://forum.paddle-fishing.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=28244 Apologies for not mentioning that! I def...

Best non-permanent adhesive for mounting a battery?

I have a Native Slayer 14.5, which has an electronics console in the middle: http://www.nativewatercraft.com/images/features/24-1.jpg That console is hollow and gives access to the bottom hull. I have a small 8 amp battery (1/2 the size of a brick) underneath for the electronics, but for the life of...

Northeastern Indiana: Turkey Lake Restaurant & Tavern

Alright, I'll get this party started with one of my favorites. In NE Indiana, Big Turkey Lake will always be one of my favorite all-species small lakes to hit. Desperately hungry after the first trip, my wife and I stumbled into this humble looking tavern. Ever since then, if we're even remotely clo...

Re: Interested in new Paddle-Fishing.com performance shirts?

Something like this is what I had in mind: http://i.imgur.com/9DESlso.png The front would just be the logo. We wouldn't necessarily have to have the "Senior Exalted Pro Staff Member" line on it. Well, I take that back. Yes. Yes we have to have it. If you're interested, please comment here,...

Has anyone built a wooden fishing kayak/canoe?

Just curious if anyone has built one and had any tips, ideas, or plans. I'm looking for something that's lightweight, stable, has an open design with plenty of room, and long enough to track well. This would be for small freshwater only, so no swells to worry about. Ideas I've seen: http://www.fyneb...

Interested in new Paddle-Fishing.com performance shirts?

I'm working with a local printing company to do a run of Paddle-Fishing.com long-sleeved performance shirts (moisture wicking, SPF 50+ protection). I know Rik has done something similar in the past . This time, I'm looking at Hanes Long Sleeve Cool Dri shirts with the PF logo on the front and the ba...

Re: Important Announcement

Rik, thanks again for the opportunity! Everybody else, nice to meet you! For what it's worth, I'm really looking forward to both growing Paddle-Fishing.com, as well as not screwing up what you all already have. I'm planning on adding some new sections to the forum, opening it up to a broader communi...
