I thinking Big fish, as far a crap hooks I dont know about that one, but if the hook needs sharpening please do s...I am personally tying all mine on 4/0 gama sl12s....

34007 mustad and a file and you will be set, you can use them for everything however I aggree with the Ovwner aki or sc17 for tarpon.

I have 6'6" 8wt that I through a 9 wt line for that has no problem reaching 30-40 ft froma kayak. Nole built the rod for me it is a sweet stick. You may want to look into that route as it might be cheaper.
