Re: Croc attacks kayaker

Mud Lake in ENP has a solid 14 foot croc that travels between Mud and Bear and parts beyond. There was another really big croc that lived in and around the Flamingo marina, but it died in last year's cold snap. Had very close calls with both gators and crocs. Either one can ruin your day, so be care...

Re: permit are back

WTF???

Looking over my notes, I have NEVER done well with bones, permit or tarpon mid to end of august until October.

guess I ain't got the mojo.

Glad you guys are catching fish. I am in moving hell for the next weekend or so. Hope they are still around at the end of the month.

Re: Biscayne Bay Tarpon

Tex Stick to the canoe launch at BP. The ramps are a dangerous place, more suited for entertainment purposes than launching a paddle craft. The hole in the mangroves looks sketchy, but will shoot you out into a beautiful little lagoon. There is a bait shop not too far, I think it is on Old Cutler ar...

If you are interested in participating in the oil cleanup and are looking for work, we can put you to work. Re: Middle keys

But it doesn't pay well with no degree.

If you want to get your HAZWOPER certification, I can get you as much work as you want cleaning the beaches. Pays about $13/hr plus about $100 per diem if you travel more than 50 miles to get to the site (currently Pensacola area).

Re: Paddle-In idea

Yeah, I think I had the figured out. If you wanted to pull people from all over the state, Flamingo is a long drive for anyone. Even for those who live in Miami, Flamingo is a long drive. Hell, it takes seemingly forever just to get from the park gate to the water. Now, if this were to be a couple ...

Re: Middle keys

Not sure where you are staying, but I have had luck with bonefish on the ocean side flats just north of Holiday Isle as well as between US and the Hawk's Cay resort (Tom's Harbor Channel is what I think it was called). The bridges will be good and should be holding all sorts of fish. Congrats on fin...
