Time to confess I guess. :oops: After four seasons in my boat I finally did an unintentional "half-roll" a coupla weeks ago. Fortunately water was only waist deep over sand & I only lost a inexpensive dehooker I just bought. Tide was running pretty good & I had to chase down a few ...

Yeah, we don't need to set aside land/water access for public recreation.

Hmmm....looks comfortable.
I know they are quite popular in the freshwater environment.
Another area of concern, that I'm being schooled in, is corrosion.
Any non aluminum/stainless/plastic parts to that baby?

Depends on your spool. I just bought a Penn Battle & it has a spool designed for braid & it is working well, no need for mono backing. If your spool is older it is best to use mono backing. It takes a lot of braid to fill it $$$$. So far I've found a length of braid 10% longer than my longes...
