TRANSDUCER MOUNTED TO Native Watercraft PROPEL??

I was watching some YouTube videos of transducers mounted to the lower unit of trolling motors. Of course they have more area to attach to but just wondering if anyone has done a DIY job that might be successful on a Native Watercraft Mariner Multisport PROPEL . Right now I have a DIY piece of 1 inc...

New Native Mariner, rough maiden voyage

Well I sold my Ultimate 14.5 and took the next step and bought a Mariner 12.5, and by and large I'm very glad I did. Picked it up from the folks at Orchid Bike & Kayak in Vero Beach, Fl., and couldn't have found better folks to deal with, Malcom and his staff were great. The first trip (in fact ...

Re: Native Ultimate 14.5 Deep Water Reentry - A Successful T

I have both bow and stern skirts under the bow is my cooler which would provide some flotation under the rear I carry a 5 gal bucket with lid on it. These will both provide some flotation and the empty bucket take out after some bailing with lid removed and be filled with water placed on the bottom ...

Re: DIY cart for Ultimate 14.5???

Hey thanks. That's what I've done for now. Using some long electric ties to lock it all together seems to be helping. Hope to test it Thursday.

Re: Lake Worth Report

Thanks for the report Keith. I live in WPB and keep meaning to hit those islands. I've gone over on foot to check out access. You need to approach the kayak drop off from the east side of the ICW bridge. Then deal with parking. Only a few free ones between the east and west bound lanes on the west e...

DIY cart for Ultimate 14.5???

I've got an Ultimate 14.5 and am having trouble with my cart. Bought a Mighty something or another which looked like it would handle the weight. It always folded up no matter how I attached it. I took some PVC. And tried to stiffen it up but still not real happy. It seem to like to turn sideways too...

Harbor Freight trailer anyone use them?

I'm looking at the 1720 Lb. Capacity Super Duty 48" X 96" Utility Trailer With 12" Five Lug Wheels And Tires from Harbor Freight any feed back. Using it for an Native Ultimate 14 ft. Not really impressed by much I see at HF. But it is in my price range and I'm not having any luck find...

Re: WPB area - looking for resources

The Snook Island Natural Area at the western end of the Lake Worth bridge. Has a kayak launch area and fishing pier. The county created a series of islands along the west side of the ICW as a breeding and habitat area. Still fairly new but people have posted YouTube videos of snook being caught. Lik...

Added safety and comfort with pontoons, I hope.

Well I enjoy the stability of my Ultimate but wouldn't feel comfortable standing in it now. I'm down from 280# to 240 but am not the most graceful. I'm also raising the seat up on PVC a few inches so looking for some general added stability. The lobster float DIY pontoons is a cheap way of doing thi...
