I toil all week in what I call a stressful occupation, trading stocks. When the week-end comes, I do things that I enjoy be it fishing, general kayaking, shooting sporting clays, skeet, archery, handguns, or just strolling the beach with a rod enjoying the surf and sand. I fish what I enjoy the most...

I disagree. This sounds to me like someone had the buhjeezus scared out of them, and after taking some time to regroup, they told the story in a way that made you read (and heed) all of it. If they indeed weave a tale, good for them. You still read it, and we all can learn a little from it. I agree...

My ortho told me that 80% of back pain will go away after about 60 days for 90% of people, rest being the best advice. He laughs at chiropactors and massages (though they do feel good), He admits that without injecting drugs or surgery, there isn't a lot to do in most cases, could be a disk, or spin...

I'm pretty sure that the shore line fishing license was to beat a federal law to the punch. If Florida did not pass one, then we would have to abide by a federal permit and they would keep the funds collected. http://myfwc.com/About/LE/About_LE_Alert.htm My comment was not about guides skirting the ...

Maybe it's just my tree huggin self but keeping a big 5 lb breeder just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'd much rather see her swim away and lay the millon or so eggs she will produce in the next year. Generally, I would agree, however, this was caught just before we were going to pack up for the ...

OK. day at Round Island

Hit Round Island about 7:30 this morning, fishing until about noon. Several short strikes, as always, one blowfish, one small snook, and one 5 lb , 24" Trout, since grilled and consumed. Nothing like fresh fish on the grill. All of the strikes or catches were on a white Gulp on a red head. The ...

Well, I did all that adjusting before I tried the reel. Too slow, too fast, and just right, so to speak. Adjusted the magnetic thing, up, down middle etc. etc. and tried all the combinations. I think a different rod might help as this thing just doesn't seem to go where I cast, not much zip, so to s...

Bait casters.........

My wife bought me a Abu Garcia bait caster on a trip to Wal-Mart, why......I have no idea. So, I put some 12 lb mono on it and an rod that I had from an old Zebco one of the kids had and hit the lawn to try it out. I grew up with the old baitcasters, back lash and all, but did ok. with them. So, I c...
