Re: Albino Tarpon

Looks more like photoshop. Very odd dorsal fin. Looks like a Koi/Goldfish tail. That "tail" is not a part of the first pic so it's not in the watermark "Clark Wright". Not the first time I've seen the photoshop card pulled around here. One was a photo of me that I know was real....

I would have to agree. The fact that the entire family was good with it speaks volumes. I am a big fan of blackened redfish though.

Re: 40# vs 60# leader for poon...

Probably the photo...I use what Capt. Dave Dennison uses. Good, bad, or indifferent I figure if he's placed in the PTTS he knows what he's doing. He hangs with my neighbor so I bounce ideas off them. That said I did snap one last year - not straighten - but snap. It was at the beginning of a short f...

Re: Shoulders

Somewhat like Todd...I have a torn labrum. However I simply refuse to have surgery on it. Bunches of folks have this - especially if they swam, pitched, or played in the outfield for many years. Typically it's the throwing arm that's worn out. I get the added benefit of having a screwed up left hand...

20140607 - some sonar / poon shots

We found ourselves with some happy poon and after a bit they welcomed us to their environment. One pod of 100 joined another and then another - my angling buddy and I called it a megapod. Kinda like those HUGE schools of dolphins you see on Nat Geo. Just a huge black mass of fish. Pretty neat. Since...

Re: 40# vs 60# leader for poon...

The hook was inside about 3-4" in the month on the corner. It was really hard to get out. That section that is really worn down went from inside the mouth to the corner and out.

There was a second line that had been broken off that was down it's gullet.

Doubt I'll go back to 40#. The below is 60# fluoro The below was about 30 min of work on about a 125# fish. No way 40# bring home the biscuits on that fish. Photo shows it was almost wore through. The hook was about 4" deep inside the mouth. http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/n554/jbdba01/Misc...

Re: ? Largemouth Bass News

I can live with that, but I'm not tough. I reserve that word for my friends who are being deployed in combat zones for the next 6 or more months. We shall hold up large quantities of alcohol in their honor at all the PFTS, and yes...if their wives call me to kill some poisonous snakes, dickish or no...

Probably in the night hours...that red would show up nicely. After I'm done with them they would be pretty easy to lip hook.
