Re: What would you do?
Was rammed by a sizeable Bull one night at Simmons. I was wading at the time and it came up behind me as I let a small Trout go. Never saw or heard it till it knocked the crap out of my left leg. Didn't poop my pants, but I did decide to fish from the kayak for the remainder of the evening. Lesson? ...

Re: Hey weatherman
Yeah, I remember the days when I used to brave the pre-front conditions in order to fish for a little while. Until the day the lightning hit the water next to the little mangrove island I was tucked under. :shaking2: It jolted the crap out of me and I went through some really wild convulsion...

Re: Fair Warning
I had cut way back on drinking a while back (for the wife) and finally decided to quit altogether and get back to Church. My wife packed up the kids and left me because I USED to drink too much! And she took the last bottle of wine with her!!

Re: Lame situation(al) advice
I use a Bleeding hook which is coated and not stainless, so if you do get in that position, cut the hook off as close as you can to the barb without harming the fish and the rest of the hook will simply rust out in a very short time. Oh yeah, crimp the barbs. I don't think anybody even mentioned tha...

Re: Needing a tow
I've seen kayaks being towed at higher speeds with NOONE in them and they do okay. But the slighest move from you sitting in the kayak at higher speeds will be on AFV by the end of the month. Your rods won't fair very well either. Someone can hold the kayak steady while you get in and out of it from...
