I got a Wright McGill Victory ($60 on sale) from my daughter Xmas 2012. I would have never bought something that cheap but obviously had to use it. At the time there was a net buy back plan with millions in payout and that was riddled with fraud where the funding ran dry and the State had to put up more cash. They the fisherman were bringing in retired nets and adapting other nets to classify as gill, etc. and stuck us with the tab on their way...

The rape of gill nets. I came to Fl. in 83 and the fishing was good. By 1990 it was like the dead sea. Mullet boats everywhere just circling every cove, stretching across every major cut catching everything coming out with the tide. A catch of 3 trout around 12"was a good day. A 16" worthy...
