Kudos to you guys...I've given up on those stupid fish, when I go to south biscayne I'll bring a rod set-up for bones but they are merely a chance happening on my way to the tarpon holes...they aren't as finicky

Looks like you were west this time? Are you replacing he split rings and hooks on the skitterwalks? I have lost two nice fish to a pulled ring and a straightened hook within the past two outings. I can't believe that lure held for that beautiful little tarpon. No I haven't been replacing the hooks ...

Rainy Day Mingo 06/24/09

10 knot winds my azz! Me and my buddy Ken arrived at the marina in Mingo at 5am sharp, greeted by thunderstorms and rain we passed out in the truck till about 6:30, by then they had mostly disappated and we launched in a light rain and headed towards Christian Point. We weren't too happy about the c...

Flamingo 06/18/09

Yesterday was hot...I feel like I'm still sweating. Me and David (Perch) hit the water a little before 5:30, we played with the little tarpon outside the marina for a bit, they were crashing the skitterwalks but rarely connecting with it. Had to help David removed a treble from his finger early on i...
