Looks like the cooler weather is going to stay on through the week...highs only in the 50s til thursday. I have the gear for cold weather fishing, but what is the effect on the inshore species? Are they generally less active in cold spells? I know last winter was deadly cold for the snook. How much...

Re: Best tasting fish
In no particular order... pompano, permit, snook, cobia, flounder, redfish, flounder, grouper, black sea bass, hogfish, smoked kingfish/mullet, sheepshead, ARS, and I think that's it.
I really can't decide which one I like most, I can't even decide which three I like most.

Fall Fishing
Haven't posted a report in a while, been meaning to just been really busy lately. So far this fall has been great, the cooler temps have made for some great redfishing and trout fishing. Redfish have been in large schools and when located double digit days have been pretty common, along with the red...

Re: Interesting stomach contents.
Chris I've found eels like that in a redfish's stomach I've filleted before. Like Todd said during redtide they were all over they place, I've seen a few live ones before but mostly on the beach. Larry at Mastry's in St. Pete knows how to catch them, I can't remember exactly how, but I know he uses ...
