Summer 2014...
With the school year kicking that can only mean that summer vacation is over. Figured I would start a thread with summer 2014 pics. As usual I had a bunch so I collaged them (is that even a verb?). If ya got 'em post 'em. http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/n554/jbdba01/Misc/01117076_zpsf7790380.jpg

Re: Anyone fishing in this heat?
Still better than where I was a couple/few weeks ago. Dry heat or not it was bloody hot. I'll take FL heat any day over that. http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/n554/jbdba01/Misc/1024_0025_zps8b158380.jpg http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/n554/jbdba01/Misc/4953f6d0-755b-40e4-bfbf-557a34269ada_zps...

Re: Anyone fishing in this heat?
Went yesterday... Lost my favorite topwater plug to a red (bottom one), stumbled across several nice schools of reds mixed with Jacks, lost a snook, couple Jacks, bunch of lady fish, tons of rays and sharks, and the obligatory trout. Off by 10:30am. http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/n554/jbdba01/2...

MacDill Ferry - Part 3
Seems interest is waning. Looks like "The Kitchen" may not be impacted after all.
Ecology aside I never thought it was a good idea for a variety of reasons. The main one being $.
Williams Park might have made more sense...maybe.
Details here.

Are you a googan?
Many boaters are unaware that in fact yes they are googans. For the sake of other anglers and humanity please read the following and take appropriate measures not to be labeled as a googan. Are you a googan? Take this personality test and find out - do you find people yelling obscenities at you or y...

Re: No luck on my first couple shots at tarpon!
It's an addiction that can make you pull up roots from Atlanta and move to FL. I believe the addiction part. When a five gallon bucket sized head busted a couple of feet out of the water chasing bait 20 feet away the old heart was pumping. The only thing keeping us from retiring and moving back to ...

Re: Tarpon Fishing... I Love It
I'm on the blue/pass crab bandwagon. In 2 hours we stunk it up going 0-8, but it sure was fun watching the fish fly. Some lost on the jump, some snapped the line, some frayed the leader. Granted we were in yea ol' stinkpot in a place frequented by a ton of other Tampa anglers. That said I know that ...

It's only wrong if the relationship has been consummated. I believe that is illegal in many Southern states including FL.

Re: Hodgman waders....$40
Waders came in new in box. They fit a size 8-10 shoe. Perfect fit for the daughter and older brother.
No wade belt - they have a draw belt/string that cinches up on the sides.
I went with the first link (they are green).
Darn good deal - free shipping too.

Re: 20140621 - Summer Days Appear to be here
90% of the time yes - it's 3". I think I swapped to the 4" once - it worked nicely as well. I only use white and rootbeer. (dark versus light). I even threw one at some poon off AMI. Right now I have about 100-150 of them to work my way through. The only knock I have with them is that they...

Re: Live Target Scaled Sardine
Seems to me that the loose grass/sea snot started to increase. I would have something weedless in the bullpen. FWIW - I swap out the treble hooks on the top water with single circle hooks - works fine and does not affect the action on the Spook or other large plugs. I have not done that with a swim ...
