Re: Surfing a Fishing Kayak
I would prefer not to soak them either, but I prefer to go fishing more
With proper care they wil last.

Re: Beach Launch
No, the jumpiness is due to the chop on the water I think, there is no auto stabilization.
Try watching it on the YOUTUBE site, it is much less jumpy there, I don't know why.

Re: Beach Launch
I went out of Playalinda on Tuesday, got a lot of strikes and fought a few fish, but didn't land anything of the large variety.

Point 65 Kayaks......???
Has anyone seen, paddled, ect any of these modular kayaks. They seem like a good idea, but they are pricey. http://www.basspro.com/Point-65" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;°-N-Tequila-Sit-On-Top-Modular-Kayak-Yellow/product/12011705011417/369196 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Re: Fishing Brevard - Indian River - Mosquito Lagoon
Playalinda is my prefered launch site, most people don't like it because the waves tend to crash harder there than at some other beaches

Re: Fishing Brevard - Indian River - Mosquito Lagoon
If you wanna fish the ocean Ive found it best to go out of Ponce Inlet, or just push off of the beach, I have some good luck doing that. I would be up for some fishing towards the middle/end of next month and going into the fall, PM me if you wanna get together.

Re: Trout and sharks....
I had big bonnetheads and blacktips eating trout sandwiches at my expense last year in 3 - 6 feet of water. This was at the clam bar, and only while there was a feeding frenzy like the one you pictured. The sharks were not eating the ladyfish that I was catching along with the trout.
