Re: Flamingo in April

super  Ok maybe fishing is the least of my concerns. I have done some reading and have found out that there are crocs and gators as well as water moccasins and possibly panthers :pale: Is camping here and fishing a couple of days not such a good idea? I would really hate to end my spring break ...

Not really sure. It may depend on the best fishing spot. I know we will be in coral springs one day.
Thanks

April Options

I will be in the South East part of Florida the first week in April. What options will there be for fishing and what might be a good place to go, from Titusville to Coral Springs?
I will be bringing the kayak.
Thanks guys

Re: Gulf Stream Question

I am not sure if that is the same place or not, but it is near Del Ray Beach. Is that the same place you are talking about? I am looking at it on google maps and see a lot of boats on the ICW. My bro in law says he sees kayaks out there sometimes. What might be a good fly to use in the area? Thanks ...

Gulf Stream Question

Hey guys, I have a question about Gulf Stream. Is there any good fishing around there? Can you fish the ICW right by the golf course, and if so what would one likely catch? My bro in law just moved there and has a place across the street from the ICW. I am hoping to get down for a visit soon, with m...

Re: When I grow up....

That is pretty awesome but competitions are done with 5 wts. I know a guy that can throw over 100 with a bamboo. I am not taking anything away from this video or this guy, but may not be as great as it seems since it is done with an 8 wt. I hate to come off like an ass so please don't take it that w...

Re: Furled leaders

I used them for my trout fishing, and have used a little heavier one for lagoon reds. They are nice and can be customized to suit your fishing needs. They do not get wind knots and seem to unroll nicely as they are being cast. I like the and have used one as long as a year without having to replace ...

Re: GPS Fishfinder Questions

I think I have pulled the trigger on a used Humminbird 365i. It is not color, but the guy is practically giving it to me. I will just need to get a Nav chip I guess, to complete the deal.
Thanks for the help guys

GPS Fishfinder Questions

OK, so now that I am in the game I would like to upgrade my kayak a little. How important is it to have color rather than b/w screens? Will the 500 series models from Humminbird fit on a Kayak? Is the 100 series adequate or will I want to upgrade after a short time? There are a lot of good deals on ...

Re: New Kayak Rack and Hauler....

Does the rack system allow you to remove your hard top?
If you had a soft top could you put it down with this cage on top?
I have thought about my next car being a Wrangler and wondered how I would get the yak to the water.
Nice looking set up!
