Re: Sarasota, Long Boat Key Guides ?

I'd be pretty disappointed catching Trout on a charter, but sometimes its all you can get, he must have done a great job to leave you happy.

Not impressed

He created this site and made it what it was, there was a lot of love and respect poured out on that thread in honour of our fallen brother. To summarily discard those words shows a lack of understanding and respect for this web...

Re: What the Hell Is Going On Here or Actually Not Going On

The times they are a changing, the Halcyon days are gone, the internet is its own worse enemy. Fishing forums have been on a steady decline since 2009, when Facebook began is pervasive explosion. People move on, people get tired of the cliques, the ying yang, it's the same old song, yesterday is gon...

Re: Recommendation for a new reel

I just gave away 4 old Stradics, they gave up the ghost after a year or so, despite regular servicing, I am now using Team Diawa Advantages and have been for over 10 years, still smooth, still great, they are better at this age are still better than the Stradics ever was. I was gutted when Diawa gav...

Re: Favorite Rod/Reel For West Coast flats fishing

Loomis GL2 8-17 (medium power) fast Action

it will pitch a jig as far as you'll need and has enough backbone to land anything you're likely to encounter on the flats, it will also work a topwater, but usually use a Med/Heavy Loomis for that job

Re: One of the Best.......

I've never met him but his reputation preceedes him, without doubt a true gent, plus he fishes with Uncle Tommy, that puts him close to saint-hood in my book.
