I've always used PP, but spooled up a reel with TL, a few months ago and I can't say I've noticed any advantages over PP, other than price.
They both perform equally well.

Well said Erick, you pretty much summed up my feelings too. Without doubt it's a double edged sword, but one which we all must battle with. I personally no longer post specific spots, but I will always help anyone with any questions they have regarding an area, or techniques. I have seen my own and ...

I was a died in the wool, St. Croix and Shimano fan, but I have seen the error of my ways. I'll never recommend a built St. Croix rod again, the cork they use is very sub-standard. I have 3 Tide master rods, Their high end tackle and 2 have had the corks split down the length of the handle. This in ...

Very True BD, you summed it up perfectly. Get the yak that " fits " and then rig how " you " want it. Don't be in a hurry either, first thing to do is install your front rod holder, no matter which yak you paddle you want a rod holder upfront. Then take it out and paddle it a few...

Rumours are it is very sweet and may have the 140 flat floor too.

I've been using the dog leash for over two years now and its still holding up, I keep the handle in the tank-well so it doesn't get exposed to too much water. I rinse it after every trip and spray a little Corrosion Block in the mechanism, but for only $10 two years is worth it. The leash i use is 1...

Ray, remember that USA sizes are one size smaller then UK. I wore a size 12 in the UK, but wear either 13 or 14 here.

I was never in need of a duck blind my friend, Ray H and I made our own way in that day! Truth be known, having the right color yak was a very last resort, for those caught out, without all the other correct gear! I still don't see the need to pick any color other than the one you like, what ...

I have the Olive, I like it because it's low key, as for boaters seing you, I think paddle color is more important to increase visibility. I've never put my hand on my kayak and thought, "Ow,that's hot!" I like the drab subtle color's, probably my next kayak will be the sand color. The rea...

Diawa Advantage for me, they are super smooth, and seem to be holding up well to the abuse i'm giving them. I have two of the 2500 series, by far the best reels I've ever owned.
