Cubs83 read my post again guess I'll be the bad guy, but I find it a little disconcerting to see protected species being beached like that. They are a protected species and they were dragged up on the beach, and I found it disconcerting that this was done, not once but multiple times. I did not make...

Agreed, it's the challenge, I once thought catching redfish on topwater was a myth. It took me almost two years to finally do it, and now topwater is one of my favorite methods to fish for reds. Sticking with the challenge will instill you with confidence when you do succeed, and you'll add another ...

Low light, shallow water, grass and sand, decent current flow and ultimate stealth and patience. Those are the key ingredients to finding bigger Trout. Noise is your greatest enemy. No we have wells catfish in the UK, although they are not a mainstream species yet, but are growing in popularity all the time.
I fished for them in France before moving here, managed a nice 28lber hell of a fight and a very ugly beauty to it.

I'll try and drag out a pic of it.
