Damn JB, I got tired from readin' all that................ Yeah. I suppose all you Yankees advocate killing all the bears cropping up in Naples too. Rich folks come before God's lesser creatures right? That's how you justify all the panther deaths the god like red sucks stadium has wrought upon a n...

Re: Fly Rod Tilapia
When the zombie apocalypse hits we'll be happy to eat retention pond fish :D I've been getting some luck using tiny nymphs from a generic pack form BPS. Way too tiny for me to think about tying! Also caught one on a very small crab imitation Uumpuq makes called a San Pedro Crab. Its basically olive ...

Re: Reel grease and oils...
Reel grease like Penn's but Yamaha marine grade grease is better. Never put regular grease on drag components, only drag specific grease such as Cal's. Bearing get oil, grease is o.k. for spinning reel bearings but you have to remove their shields to pack them and o.e.m. b.b.'s will usually have shi...

Re: Golf Course Bass
Are folks able to fish the golf course ponds in the closed up course the city of Cape Coral bought. They have been talking about it on the news and said its been closed for years. I imagine its full of under pressured bass that'll hit anything.

I really like Mayan's. They fight better than a bass their size and will try to bite you while you unhook them in your lap! Have you fried one up? I think they rival crappie and maybe even snook for taste.

There are no snook. Wiped out a few years ago. People ought to move outta here and just leave us natives and mullet alone.

The Penn manager who posts on SOL bends over backwards for folks. He takes so much crap from posters it makes me want to buy a Penn out of pity. If you don't find happiness with Penn you ought to try contacting him on the Penn sub forum there, I bet he'd help you, their asian made products are basic...

Its a sad way to die for anyone, alone. His very talented wife passed awhile back. I find his writings and tapes from the 80s just as valuable now as they were then. Very few can claim to match his bass fishing knowledge or track record. He was a part of Florida from when it was a better place and t...

I'm surprised you don't hook any when you are on the Myakka north of Border Rd. Must be a blast of a fight on those light rods. Great pics as always, I miss your old freshwater fly forum!

Re: Mangrove shoreline and dock fishing strategy
Skip a superfluke under the dock as far as possible. Ive gptten to where i can skip a spook jr. with a baitcaster under mangrove over hangs and snook will often attack it out of defense before i even get to twitch it.

Re: Little Manatee River 24th Street Warning...care broken
I do. 25 years as a street cop I never leave anything in my truck, ever. No change, no ipod, cords, sunglasses, nothing. Always leave the drivers door unlocked. Not saying its the right thing to do but its a conclusion Ive come to. They never want to make noise if they dont have to and will almost a...
