Folks let me tell you this rod is smokin !!!!! That contoured reel seat is very, very comfortable. It was a tad small for my hand so I had to adjust my grip but it just feels right.

If the waders go outside of the boot what prevents the water from entering the waders ? They go in the boots and then you should add neoprene (I have no idae what it's called) strip over the boot to keep mud out.
