Obviously all of my tarpon flies are pretty. That being said, there is no way most people can be successful with patterns for one location while fishing in another. The fish react to and eat flies different in every location. They call them "local patterns" for a reason. So, take your boxe...

Depends on where and when you are fishing. No way 3 flies can cover all the bases.

Flytiers Dungeon makes a good product. A few years ago I ordered a christmas box from him it had not arrived by june. He ended up sending me a huge box with a few hundred dollars worth of polar bear to boot.

We have a small native population up here, really only a viable option in the cold months when they feed in the salt estuaries. In the spring they follow spawning bait fish up the rivers and feed heavily. In the warm months they remain dormant in the cold of the deep pools. A study I read said that ...

Older models of "High End" rods are available on ebay for as much as a crappy new rod costs. Always a good way to go.

Zing Zang is pretty good. I usually just start with tomato juice then add fresh ground pepper, lime, lee & perrins, and hot sauce. A1 is a good sub for the worcestershire.
