Re: Fort Desoto

Thank you very much for the information. I will be in a kayak and I would also like to say that Ty from 30 miles out was the one who told me to ask here. He said that if anyone would know the area that you guys would.
Thank you,
Glenn

1970 Glass makeover

My wife's uncle gave me an old 1970 glass spinning rod. I think it had been a surf rod but it was only about 8 ft long which was perfect for me to use in the my Tarpon 14. Re: advantage of a 14' over 12' KAYAK?

When looking at them look at the width as well. For instance the WS Tarpon's that are 12' and under are 30"or 32" wide where as the 14'and 16' Tarpons are 28" wide. I take my 14' Tarpon everywhere with now problems; little ponds and the ocean as well. I would be a little less comforta...

New to this forum

Hello all, I am new to this site and it was recommended to me by JSuber over at Forgotten Coast Kayak Anglers. I have been kayak fishing for 3 1/2 years now, mostly in the Cincinnati Ohio area where I live but I do go down to Florida a couple times a year.
