juvie tarpon

Well, although they will hit bait, a flyrod always helps with tarpon, especially the smaller ones, and is really a plus if you want to get them to the boat. Topwater and other heavy lures get shaken off easily when they jump. I'm guessing the fish you're seeing are probably in dirty water, and while...

EC juvie tarpon

I just thought I'd let those that didn't know there are a lot of inshore tarpon around right now. In the last week we've (my charters) jumped around 100 of them from 12 to 50 inches on fly.

Hope y'all are finding them too....

My favorite go-to fly is a 2 1/2 "white deceiver with chartruese down the middle and a few strands of red flash. Simple, and it catches a lot of fish.

I doubt at this time an angler would be considered at risk for eating an occasional fish from the lagoons, unless they're pregnant.   Consider that a bottle-nosed dolphin eats fish all day long, and that's pretty much all they eat.  It's sad that our pollution is killing the lagoons... and it's a sa...

I haven't kept a fish for over 4 years. I've ate so many fish over the years that they're much more important to me in the water than on the table. An interesting thing is not one of my charters has asked to keep a slot fish in all that time either. I'd be lying if I said that bothered me, actually ...

Here's what I wrote them: Concerning the construction of a commercial vertical launch facility on the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge - This is a very bad idea fueled by short-sightedness and greed. The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, which is also a bird sanctuary, should not suffe...

I'll add to what Stubb said, which is correct! The space shuttles are now launching from pad 39A. They were launching from 39B but it's being torn down or refurbished, I'm not sure which will be the final outcome for pad 39B. Pad 39A is a bit south of 39B, and that is why KARS has been closed for th...

It's here in Brevard now, though not to the degree that it's affecting the Ponce Inlet area. We've had reports of burning eyes and fish kills as far south as Satellite Beach.

American Eagle canoes

I don't own one, but I know a few anglers who do, and I know the owner.

They make excellent canoes, and have options available to make their canoes more fishable, like decks, etc., and they're not as as heavy as the Gheenoe.
