Re: Is it Over ?

It's so sad to see what this site has become. I learned 99% of everything I know about kayaking and fishing from members of this site. Rik and Todd and the other admins had a great offering through p-f.com and I miss the old days where everyone was helpful and open to fishing and sharing knowledge. ...

Re: Native Ultimate 12 ???

I'm pretty sure it's it either the first two numbers or the last two numbers in the Serial#. It should be etched on the outside starboard or port side of the stern. I have a 2009 U14.5, and it either begins or ends 09, can't remember off hand.

I believe the hull designs changed in 2012 and 2015 (FX)

Re: Important Announcement

Wow I haven't been on in a while! Welcome Brett!

Rik, thanks for all you have done for pf.com! It was literally this site that got me into paddle fishing, and I've met some great people because of it. (oh and I saved money on my car insurance too)

Looking forward to the future of the site

Re: WTB -- updated Digital Point & Shoot camera

Krash, I'm not a photography guru by any means of the imagination but I play one on tv! Seriously though, I would highly recommend the Fuji S5200 or a newer version of it. I have had the S5200 for about 10 years and it takes wonderful pictures. It is a point and shoot but has great features and take...

Re: So Long Old Friend

Saying goodbye to a longtime friend (car) is difficult. I have a '98 Honda Accord with 320,000 miles on it. My father drives it now up in GA but it still runs like the day it was new - well with at least one replaced clutch...

Now I feel bad car topping my kayak on my new ride. It's so pretty...

Re: Newbie to Kayaking

Welcome to the forum! I too live in Oldsmar and fish the areas around Upper Tampa Bay often. There are plenty of places to launch and catch fish. You can go to Mobbley Bayou and fish the creeks and flats around there, or head a little east on Hillsboro/Tampa road and launch at Upper Tampa Bay park (...

Re: Recommendation for a new reel

Well the wife got me a Stradic FJ 3000. I used it this past weekend and I love how light it is compared to my battle of the same size. I also really like the drag, it hasn't been fully tested on a big red yet but it worked nicely on the multitude of ladyfish and trout I caught. After a while, I'll g...

First catches of the year

Hey there everyone. I wanted to give this report sooner but work has gotten in the way. I wanted to fish all last week because I had the week off but the flu got the better of me. Fast forward to Friday... I went out to Fred Howard Park in Tarpon Springs and went exploring. I found a nice salt water...

Re: Recommendation for a new reel

I'm probably going to try to get the Stradic FJ. Amazon has the Stradic for $158 w/ free shipping which is a pretty good deal as far as I can tell I have a W&M rod and I really like it. I had my first one snap on me fighting a big Red and they replaced it for $30 like you said. I cut it up and c...

Recommendation for a new reel

Hello fellow pf-ers. I have a birthday coming up and my wife asked what I wanted. Of course my first thought was fishing gear - duh! I would have asked for a new paddle or something but she already surprised me with a full carbon Aqua Bound Manta Ray for an early Christmas gift. So, I would like a f...
