Re: SUP's (StandUpPaddleboards)
Young,, I'm 65 and have a failing heart... now if I could find a SOT kayak, reasonably priced, that weighed less than 50 pounds (would like 40 pounds) and you could easily stand that would be my choice. The canoe is close but spinning around to fire off a cast while quietly putting the pole or padd...

Re: SUP's (StandUpPaddleboards)
I've got a Bote HD with an Engel cooler/drybox. The Engel works well as a seat and tackle storage and has rod holders on the side. At 6'6" and 250 lbs the board is plenty stable and fast, but it's definitely more work than fishing from a kayak. Boat control is tough in windy conditions and the ...

Re: Flounder
The island just south of Johns Pass on the inside might be good as well. Right on the edge of the grass where the channel comes up shallow. I think it's called eleanor island.

Re: Flounder
^ what he said. Super slow bouncing the bottom. Edges of channels and sandy potholes. Anywhere the flounder can sit in the sand and wait for food to come by.

Re: Not much in the Kitchen
That's a tough launch at a negative low. I usually concentrate on the oyster bars and the east sides of the islands further out on the flat for reds and snook. The maze will also usually produce all three when the water's moving.
Good luck

Re: Recommendation for a new reel
Shimano Stradic (Ci4) or Daiwa Ballistic reels are great. The only sub $100 reel I've ever had hold up is a Penn Sargus. Smooth reel and solid drag for the price, but a little heavy.

Re: Native Ultimate's
Joe, everything I've heard about the Frontier is that it's only truly mobile with a trolling motor. At 41" wide I think it would be awkward with even a 260 cm paddle.
