Spring Break Report.

Due to school and work, I haven't been able to fish in months, (before the Hooters Gathering.) Seeing as this week is my spring break, I had today off to finally do some fishing. I woke up at around 6 and got to the launch at around 7. After not catching a red in that amount of time, I decided to ta...

Thanks all.

On top of that red, I went out later with apollobeachsam and finished off the slam with three more reds (two slot and one under slot) and two snook (both under slot). All caught on the white DOA Shad Tail.

Give blood then use the pressure bandage they give you to put on the paddle shaft. Hey, maybe if you're nice, they'll give you extra.

Fighting Butt Question???

So I've got an A8 reel seat and F2 fighting butt.
My question is How do I get the fighting butt to stay on.
Am I supposed to epoxy it to the inside of the blank like I saw in another post?
If so, do I need to rough up the interior of the blank before I epoxy the butt in?

Awesome photos.
I've seen what one of those herons can do to a Koi fish. Especially one in a small man made pond like my Aunt's.

I'll use that input.
Would I use size A thread on a 10wt rod also, or would I go up a step or two and use a bit stronger thread?

I was using size D gudebrod.
I probably should have put on a bit more flex coat though.

practice

I figured I'd get a little practice on wrapping guides by striping a pole I have whose guides were spiraling up the rod and re wrapping the guides. using the pinned tutorial, I cut the wraps and got the guides off. I then carefuly re wrapped them and put flexcoat on it and set it on my rod dryer for...

Have you looked at William Joseph? While their products are meant for the fly fisher, I'm sure you could use one of their packs for your intended use.
