So I've got an A8 reel seat and F2 fighting butt.
My question is How do I get the fighting butt to stay on.
Am I supposed to epoxy it to the inside of the blank like I saw in another post?
If so, do I need to rough up the interior of the blank before I epoxy the butt in?

Would I use size A thread on a 10wt rod also, or would I go up a step or two and use a bit stronger thread?

I was using size D gudebrod.

Have you looked at William Joseph? While their products are meant for the fly fisher, I'm sure you could use one of their packs for your intended use.
