so how do some rods seem to have that epoxy look the entire length of the rod? is there something else you can put on the blank or do some of them just come that way?

When you build a rod do you just expoy the wrap or the entire rod

i use a old pool cleaning pole, cut down a piece of 1/2" pvc with a angle cut on the end and then slid it inside the pool pole and screwed it in place works like a charm

I have a mojo and I mounted a scotty base and just bought the extended. And it puts the rod un the perfect spot for me. Love my mojo.

I have the same issue ( first post BTW) usually I go yaking with someone so we usually try to carry them down to waters edge. But that doesnt always work. My buddy has a manta ray with the wheel but that doesn't seem to be very effective or even work @ all. So I guess the skid plate would be a aweso...
