Skipjack and bonito are really good as poke and sushi
I think a can of cheap tuna is made with skipjack, bonito, and maybe some yellowfin.

Re: Recomend a 35mm SLR?
it's a film camera?
I recommend you use a digital.
Get a used rebel.
It will pay for itself in developing and film.
Seriously.
Film is not worth it.
trust me.

Re: Live Bait
I fish with bait all the time.
For me it's more about what the conditions demand and how much of a pain it is to get bait/keep it alive.
A DOA can outperform a live shrimp.
Conversely, sometimes the ONLY thing that works is a frozen dead sardine.
It's all good.

Re: Cast Nets? What is the best buy for $100 or so?
I like a 6-8 ft --- 3/8 inch mesh.
its a very manageable size.
I like bigger ones on a boat but those have to sink faster and you usually have a livewell.

Re: Water Proof Digital Video and Still Camera
I just ordered one of these: http://www.goprocamera.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I think the time lapse and hi def video features might be really cool. just mount it on the boat and time lapse your whole fishing trip. Too cool! My pentax finally filled up with water ...

Re: Sarasota Bay Advice Needed
put in at the park on city island and fish with live shrimp or doa's along the rocks by the sailing squadron and out to new pass. Or find a flat in about 4-5 deep water and fish there for trout. Lots of current and lots of fish there. Wear your lifejackets if you're not a great swimmer. Might need a...

I just used a guy for ac and he's awesome. Literally. I recommend him very highly. He's so much more honest and on top of it than Unique Air who sold me my system.

Next Event - Nokomis to Sarasota - Night Fish Off!
I'm putting together a night fishing event. I want to discuss the logistics before setting anything in stone. here's my ideas: 1. Team format - you get a partner and your catch is combined with that person. A solo person can fish alone as a "team of 1" but teams would have the advantage in...
