Its close enough to gulf shores now to smell.....and tar balls are supposedly washing ashore

its official gulf federal waters are closed in alabama and snapper season just opened

theyre not giveing answers on how to solve the problem just denying alot of the problems

and they still havent stopped the leak....i love how our goverment doesnt step in and force them to fix it

The oil is here supposedly...The water is still gorgeous and Ive been catching tons of fish,but they closed off the lagoon i fish the most yesterday its completly closed with sand now so no water can flow through and now theyre alking about closeing fishing in our bays and the gulf..long story short...

If anybody wants to go in the Pensacola area or Gulf Shores Hit me up and id be more than happy to....ive got 2 boats so inshore or off shore im willing to go,........Im really thinking about going to the rigs btw

Well for what its worth I was bored so I did some goggling.. Looks like the pass he referenced is in AL, are you familiar with their regulations? I just see a big redfish on a stringer, in a footwell, on a dock. If that kayak has anything close to the same dimensions as my kayak the fish would be over slot. That is what I was getting at. I don't care what you call it, that fish looks too big to keep to me. In Al. we are allowed one oversized...

I mostly mispelt things to aggravate you actually and as for being from Alabama that dosent make me dumb

it was 35 inches somewhere in the 20 pound range and up here in the bay its a bull deffinatly and i kept it because i hadnt kept one in over 2 years seeing as how i was busy with working and the army and other fun things

thanks this one will be my second i liked it because of the lenght i want to go to the rigs this summer and my pelican isnt desighned for that in my opion

its the older model with out the tank well but i paddled it around a little but im still unsure any advice would be greatly appreciated its 16ft long approximatly

caught him thursday in perdido pass got drug around for 20-30 mins bc i was usein my small rod and 10lb test but it was worth it especially since no one else was catching anything the coolers 28 inches long

ok thanks i had a normal anchor but lost it so i was looking for a quick fix

anyone used a chain for a drag/anchor?
