Re: Confession time

As my grand daughter would say "it happens". Glad it wasn't me whose ethics were tested.

Re: Rod Holder install question

When I replaced my side handles on my kayaks I had the same problem. My solution was to tie a small weight to a long piece of thread. I positioned the kayak so the weight would fall into the kayak. I then reached into the kayak with a long piece of wire that had a hooked end and fished till I could ...

Re: Fish Grip vs, Landing Net

I tried a folding net that is made of a material that is supposed to be less abrasive to the fish. The first spotted trout I used it on tore a large hole in it with its teeth. I went back to using my old nylon nets and Boca grip.

Re: drinking beer while Kayaking

I have never been stopped in a kayak. They can tell I am too old to need a license and probably can't catch a fish.

Re: New Paddle-Fishing.com store now open

I bought a couple of white short sleeve T shirts with pocket and logo. I wear them a lot. they are my go to, day to day favorite shirts. They were made by Queensboro 100% cotton. What are the chances of Paddle-Fishing.Com selling them again?

Re: VHF Handhelds

I have used handhelds for years especially when communicating with dock masters at short range. When I kayak with wife we have a couple of walkie talkies we use. No others on channel to worry about and really inexpensive. I still carry my handheld and cell phone.

Nice post Dunfly. I did not know Mark but he must have been a good person. I think you can tell a lot about a person by seeing who misses them.

Re: I've Got Some Good News And Some Bad News

My malabu is sand (white with black specks). It is hot, but not real fast. My wife has a malibu in lime same speed, but much cooler to touch on a hot day.

Re: Kayak Transport Question

I once went to lift my kayak by the side handles and both had weakened because of time and sunshine. When I replaced them the new pop rivets were not as strong and pulled out. I had to replace the rivets with ss washers and ss screws and lock nuts. I would mount a thru hull U bolt or thru hull eye o...
