I have been fishing the beaches along Venice and the snook are still there. I got 8 just the other day in 2 hrs. I have been using a gold glow D.O.A. paddle tail since the water has been clouded with the sand being stirred up.

If your on Pine Island you can go out to Tropical landings. There is plenty of wadable water there.

Until 2 days ago the weeds behind my yard were to high to get any good dragonfly pics. The bushhog cut them down Thurs.. Just playing around with my macro tubes and tried to capture this.

I did a little searching and found this. It is ok to possess for the purpose of taking a photo. And as far as snook being out of season that is only for keeping them and not for fishing for them so it looks like they didn't do anything wrong. It's probably a photo only contest. What they don't realize is that once you pull it out of the water to photo it under the new laws it constitutes possesion.

I will be there. If anyone else is going let me know. I would like to meet some of the people on here.

I live 40 miles North of there. I am always willing to go down there to fish if someone knows the waters. I used to live down there but that was 10 yrs. ago. I really want to get out to Ding Darling and fish it.
