I like a small lewmar claw anchor. It grabs great in the sand or mud.

Tarpon on the Forgotten Coast

Summertime brings the tarpon to the Forgotten coast. We've been seeing lots of nice fish up here in the panhandle. Last weekend we had several nice hookups, and I let this beauty pull me around for a while until I could safely release her. Should be lots more of this for the next month or so. I'll b...

Altering a shimano Terramar Rod

I bought a medium action 7'6' terramar rod. I really like the Medium light action rod, but wanted a little more beef for certain species. My problem is the butt length. It's two inches longer and just doesn't feel properly balanced for my stradic 3000 reels. I don't notice the added butt length from...

This boat is obviously not for everyone. I know a lot of paddle purists will hate it or at the very least laugh at it and I can understand that. Hobie did not make this boat for that crowd. I also have a Quest, and a Revolution. I have both paddled and pedaled for years and can appreciate both. Here...

Rigged Hobie Pro Angler

MGMT EDIT: Talltails is a Hobie Sponsored Angler So far I have added Scotty flush mounts to the mounting boards. The mounting boards can also be used for electronics. I installed an anchor trolley. Stan from CaptDick.net gave me a prototype 10 foot stakeout pole to use as a push pole. It works grea...
